PJ Personnel are currently working alongside our client who are a well-established, dynamic, and modern contracting company based in the West of Ireland who have a large pipeline of upcoming work. They are currently looking for a Junior Safety Officer to work based out of their Mayo office and on some sites in the Midlands region.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the development, auditing and maintenance of safety procedures.
- The preparation of method statements and conducting risk assessment in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Contribute and support the carrying out of site inspections and corrective measures.
- Promote and establish a health and safety culture through training and awareness.
- Support the senior health and safety advisor when needed.
Candidate Profile
- 3rd level qualification essential
- NEBOSH/IOSH qualification desirable
- Minimum 1 year’s post qualification experience
- Knowledge of or experience in the Construction Industry desirable
- Qualifications or experience in the implementation of management systems in particular ISO 14001, ISO 9001 & OHSAS 18001 is desirable.
- Strong multi-tasker with excellent communication skills
- Salary will be in line with qualifications and experience.
- Must be eligible to live and work in Ireland.
